Eastern Med cruise

Beautiful ship. Excellent balcony cabin and large shower. Small tubes of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion and two small soap cakes.No shower gel. Asked cabin steward and were told that only suites had shower gel. Tube of shampoo lasted two days for the two of us and was not replaced by cabin steward. I know all the cruise lines are cost cutting, but really!, We have cruised with P & O.,Cunard, Princess and Voyages of Discovery and have always had necessary toiletries provided. Towels were old and very skimpy. No laundrette but you would expect a line in the shower to dry a few pairs of pants. Laundry was expensive – $2.50 for one pair of pants!! Beautiful library – shame about the sparse jumbled book selection. Spacious buffet. Variety didn’t seem to vary much from day to day. No trays provided so a couple of trips necessary at breakfast and lunch. Food overall was fine but no better than other cruise lines. No silver service. Small amount of soggy vegetables on plated meal. Too many (about 6) alternative restaurants which were very expensive. Drink prices were horrendous but fortunately we were on an included package. Shows in theatre fine. No real alternative just very loud music/singer in atrium. Super cruise but overall no better than other lines. Celebrity is supposed to be a “premium line”.
