Some things are different
Donald Hymers | September 13, 2021 | Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Silhouette
Great to be back on Celebrity after several postponements and cancellations . The essence of the product always was its sophistication and quality , so excuse my criticism which is well intended .
Dress code and restaurant standards are well intended , but mobile phones on the dining table is not acceptable and most disagreeable . Some of the staff have a limited knowledge of English or International & uk culture – for example , chips ,crisps and fries are not the same thing ; Heineken and Coors are not English beers ; nor are Jim Beam or Jack Daniels , Scotch Whiskeys .
The other side of the coin ,the cruise director on Silhouette, an Englishman , was the best ever and his style, ideally suited to our cruise . So well done and keep the cultural diversity , total American is not everyone’s idea of perfection.
