The Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful ship , with plenty of comfortable seating areas . The service was excellent throughout, as usual the cabin steward worked extremely hard , and our balcony cabin was kept immaculate. Overall the ship was kept immaculately clean, and comfortable. The shows were superb, and the comedians were funny, the lectures were very informative and very good.
Less positive of this cruise were the inflated drinks prices, plus the 15% on top, which made it a quite expensive bar bill… Also the tips imposed on the onboard account, meant we were tipping twice come the end of the cruise. Is this a way to supplement the staff salaries? We much preferred to tip our chosen staff at the end of the cruise as we did before.
The food overall was very good , especially in the Veranda and the Lido, with the exception being in the Britannia restaurant on an evening, sometimes the menu was a bit restricted, but overall it was a lovely cruise spent with friends .
