Big Band Cruise
Jane Holton | January 9, 2017 | Cunard | Queen Elizabeth
Excellent cruise. No queues at check in. Had a free cabin upgrade from inside to outside.
Given second seating but no problem changing to first. Entertainment good. Comedian and the band over tunes playing 60s music was brilliant. I went to one lecture with Connie Fisher which was again excellent.
Ports of call were Rotterdam. Went in by shuttle no charge. Very surprised at the city, with its cube houses and it’s colourful market. Went to Ypres from Zeebrugge on an organised excursion. This was a full day and excellent value for money and I highly recommended this tour it was very moving.
Our last port of call was Guernsey. We have visited many times. If anyone hasn’t been I recommend taking the bus around the island. It takes one hour and costs one pound. You catch the bus next to the tourist information office.
Lastly I enjoyed the big band events on board. I am glad I was first sitting because it would have been very difficult to have found seats if you were second sitting.
This was a great 5 night cruise.
