Excellent Service on the Queen Elizabeth circumnavigating the UK followed by Amsterdam and Back,

Stayed in a Q3 suite on the 5th floor. Excellent location for the lifts. Not so good if you wish to be active and walk up the stairs to the Queens Grill (103 stairs). The pillows were poor (did use the pillow menu but still not great), initially only 2 towels and limited bathroom amenities. On our first cruise the lifts were limited to 4 people maximum (covid). This caused issues with long wait times. Not an issue on our second 5 day cruise. The service in the Queens Grill restaurant is exemplary. The Grill Terrace is superb – there is now a canopy over the seats so one is shaded and protected from sun and rain. The ship was in immaculate condition, continually being cleaned and maintained. The entertainment ranged from good to outstanding. We have now completed well over 30 cruises and this was by far the best Singers and Dancers we have witnessed at Sea. Their rendering of Top Hat (the musical) was incredible. Walking with a mask was problematic – found it difficult at times to breathe especially when using the stairs. Had to ask for suite amenities (other than standard shampoo and liquid soap) and also for fresh fruit which should be replenished daily. The launderettes are readily available but needed specifically to request from your Butler if you wished to use the Ships Laundry service. The day time entertainment was very disappointing. Only one insight lecturer of note and the timing schedule often coincided with meal times or was at 09.00 ! The opening times in the Lido restaurant had been cut due to Covid. For example there were no snacks available on return from a full day or afternoon shore excursion. The afternoon shore excursions often left at lunchtime – meaning that you had to skip lunch and tea ! There is NO written information provided for Shore Excursions. The need to complete a Passenger Locator Form is an issue made even more challenging by the ship’s poor internet. The embarkation is smooth and despite covid testing only took us 1 hour from pier to suite. Debarkation was unbelievably smooth. TEN minutes from closing our bedroom door to waiting with our luggage for our taxi. Gratuities and Wifi should be part of the standard package and not taken from ones on board account (you can refuse to pay the gratuities but that does seem rather mean, doesn’t it ? Main criticism is lack of written information about the ports of call (the Entertainments Director was poor which probably accounts for the disappointing daily activity schedule). Overall a very interesting cruise and a superb well maintained and comfortable ship. Recommend a Q4 on deck 7 rather than a Q3 on decks 4,5,6,
