A visit to sunnier climes escaping the British winter. Unfortunately, high winds prevented a call at Lanzarote & a visit to The Mountain of Fire, which was disapointing. Enjoyed the company of two delightful couples from Wales at our table in Britannia restuarant-we haven’t always been so fortunate! The entertainment, lectures etc, were superb. It was wonderful to dine outside in Funchal in the middle of Christmas celebrations. We visited the world renowned Aquarium at Finisterre/ La Coruna-superb,despite all the display notes being in Spanish-but strangely not on Cunards trip list? Downside is we came home with sore throats & colds-it has happened before-mainly because some passengers do not seem to heed the hygiene guidelines! Overall,4 out of 5 Stars.
