Queen Mary 2 July 14th 2019
Delina Turner | August 20, 2019 | Cunard | Queen Mary 2
I had travelled on Queen Mary 2 some time ago and at that time we were in the main dining room, this time we were in the Princess Grill. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.
The food was at the best average and the grills lounge was totally devoid of any atmosphere. The facilities available were not of the standard we have benefited from on both the Queen Elizabeth or the Queen Victoria and for the pleasure of a very nice state room we paid a lot of money. The state room was the only upside to travelling in a Princess suite. The food was so disappointing that for 5 nights we paid extra and went to the Veranda Steak House. This was the quality of both service food and care we had expected from the Princess Grill.
Embarkation at Southampton was chaotic. In all our years of cruising it has never been so bad and disembarkation when we got back was not a lot better.
Also what has changed with the policy of on dogs on board. There were dogs in Kings Court dining area, and in lifts and public areas. They were not guide dogs!
Be prepared to manage your expectations.
