The cruise from Southampton to Le Havre and on to New York finishing at Quebec was excellent.

Disembarkation

We had to off QM2 by 9.45 am. We were told to leave our luggage at the baggage collection point but were chased from pillar to point. The staff could not differentiate between red and pink, and after 20 minutes we finally managed to convince those people on duty that we were in the pink category and not red, we managed to store our luggage as advised. We speak very little French and they spoke even less English. Having spent 2 hours walking about the city we returned to the port to await our transfer to the airport only to find that there were just four chairs to sit on. There were no refreshments or rest room facilities and no members of the Cunard team to be seen.

We and several others eventually found our coach at 2.10 pm as nobody could provide us with the pickup point. We can understand that many people were joining the ship but all I can say this was the worst departure that we have experienced in nearly 30 years of cruise holidays.
