Canaruies Cruise
Jill Williams | December 29, 2018 | Cunard | Queen Victoria
We returned from our cruise a week ago, and everything went accordingly to plan from Bolsovers efficient service, as always, to the weather. Not a cloud in the sky until we hit the Portugese coast on the way back. Whilst we cannot fault the Queen Victoria, for food, entertainment, comfort etc., we do feel that they are cashing in on the guests by charging extortionate prices for most things on board. The wine and drinks are very expensive, and this can be seen by the absence of bottles on the dining tables. I met a lady who had lost her library book, and she was told the cost of the book was $15, but she would have to pay $45 for not returning it. A tour of the ship was priced at $120, and the tours from the ship were very expensive. Anyway, that is my own personal feeling, but it seems you can pick up a cruise very cheaply, but the cost on board means that it does not work out that cheap when you take all these things into consideration.
