Crew Fatique

Its a shame that when high expectations are not met Leaves a question mark as to why.

First on a positive note Embarkation was stress free and my Cabin steward was excellent she was most attentive and an asset to Cunard. Lectures were of a high standard. The entertainment was on the whole except-able However in some parts of the ship the crew seem to lack motivation and empathy. As of one example I reported a potential hazard on deck 3 a toilet was blocked overflowing Being public spirited reported event to reception only to be met by a impolite individual who did not acknowledge any empathy with my observations just made a note said I will pass it on Not even a Thank You. Britannia Restaurant second sitting was also lacking During the 12 night cruise had to send meal back twice All be it the complaint was handled professionally and the replacement main course was of a high standard Having cruised with Queen Vic on previous occasions this was a first time I had experienced such poor quality food within this type of service environment. Not sure why some of the Officers and Crew lacked motivation maybe due to in part exceptionally poor storm 10/11 force weather having to bye pass Lisbon due to our weather related enforced over night stay in Lanzarote Or maybe for some crew members end of contract blues! My general observations seem to be shared with a number of other passengers I am not normally such a out spoken individual No doubt to some other passengers expectations were on par But alas not for me Cunard’s reputation on this occasion was in the main a disappointment The Captain promised a refund due to not visiting Lisbon as yet have not received
