Evening wear
M.Webb | September 30, 2019 | Cunard | Queen Victoria
Recently returned from our second cruise on the Queen Victoria and would like to say that it was an extremely lovely trip with the exception of being asked by the Commodore on the friday evening just before going into the theatre. He informed me that I needed to wear a jacket which I had on during dinner but because it gets fairly warm in the theatre, I decided to leave my jacket in the cabin. I understand there is a mode of dress for the evening but would like to point out that I counted at least 12 men in the theatre without jackets on that night!! If I am to be told that the dress code is a jacket in the evening, perhaps this could be told to all that were not wearing them that evening. I paid a substancial amount of money for this trip aswell as a fair amount on board and do take exception at being told to wear a jacket in a hot place. I would like this to be brought to the Commodore’s attention and if this is a so called rule then bring it to everybodys attention! Thank you
