First Cruise After Refit

This was our first cruise on QV after the refit earlier in the year. Whilst we had some concerns about loss of facilities, such as the old Chart Room, we were not disappointed with the overall result. Whilst the Chart Room has been relocated to a smaller area it is still a comfortable place to relax. We were impressed with the refurbishment of the Winter Garden, which is now an excellent place to relax and have a drink. We also liked the extended area around the Lido Pool, with more outside eating places under a canopy. I have not given 5 stars for service, as I would have done in the past, as we felt there has been a deterioration in service in the Commodore Club and on the Decks. On one evening in the Commodore Club we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our order to be taken, and it wasn’t uncommon to have to wait up to 15 minutes for your drinks after the order had been taken. However we did not notice any changes in service levels in the Britannia Restaurant or the Lido Restaurant.
