Not up to expectation

We had a great holiday
However, when comparing this cruise with our previous 5 cruises we felt that Cunard did not come up to expectations. When booking a Cunard cruise we expected to step up a notch to the previous cruises with 3 other cruise lines, however, we felt that our experience was a notch lower.
The service apart from the evening restaurant was not of the same standard as perhaps Celebrity or Princess. The trips were excellent and thoroughly enjoyable.
Our experience on board was not so good. Everything was very expensive in comparison, and virtually everything were extras! even some of the transfers from the ship to the towns at a port of call For example to transfer into Venice by water bus was $30 per person for a 2 day pass. the photos from the ships photographers very expensive at $24 each for 10×8″ photo.

The on board entertainment was ok the visiting artists were good but not exceptional except for the performances from Electra. the ships company were poor, with good costumes, however, poorly produced shows and the dancers having difficulty to keep their timing.

The variety of food in the Lido self serve restaurant was very limited compared with other ships.

We had a good holiday but it could have been better.
