Our cruise to Norway, Iceland & Stornoway
Clive Jackson | November 1, 2014 | Cunard | Queen Victoria
Just back from our cruise which we had mixed feelings about.
Itinerary good, weather could have been better, didn’t expect 9 degrees in Olden and snow. We were told the week before it was 21. Iceland was sunny and 16, which we expected.
Biggest disappointment drink prices with an added 15% service charge which we knew about.
A bottle of beer & G&T worked out at £6 each. Wine at the table Chenin Blanc – £38. Ridiculous.
As my wife has knee problems, the main attraction for things to do was dancing in the evening. No good for us.
Would I go again with Cunard, probably yes. My wife doubtful.
Overall we enjoyed our cruise, the friendliness at our table with the other passengers (10) and with our staff was good and compensated for the downext.
