William Jones | October 14, 2013 | Cunard | Queen Victoria
We took a 12 day cruise on Queen Victoria over the Christmas period, returning Dec 27th.
Despite force 9 and 10 gales crossing the Bay of Biscay the ship’s stability was very impressive. We had experienced Atlantic gales on the QM2, but this was our first experience of the Queen Victoria in rough seas. Excellent warnings from the Captain on weather conditions and how to keep safe.
Everything on this cruise was close to excellent except for cold temperature settings in many of the public rooms, particularly the Britannia Restaurant. We complained but were told complainants were only in single figures, not enough for them to take action.People need to voice their opinions since many spoke of their discomfort.
I would still recommend the Queen Victoria as our overall cruise experience was very good. We have already booked an 18 night cruise this April on the same vessel.
