Christine Castle | March 5, 2018 | Cunard | Queen Victoria
As this was our 5th cruise on the QV, we were looking forward to our trip. As usual, the service, food and general ambience were good. This time, the entertainment was very poor – good speakers during the day but the evenings – oh dear – the shows in the Royal Court Theatre were lacklustre, poor standard all round. The Entertainment staff were disinterested in passengers and if you saw an officer they were very off-hand and snooty. Thank goodness for the restaurant, bar and stateroom staff. The ship, although clean, looked sad and we were told she was going in for a re-fit in November 2015 – an excellent idea, we will not be sailing on her until after that time. Would someone please tell the show producer that ‘Celtic Heartbeat’ has lost the beat completely! New ideas, costumes and music urgently required – and don’t get me started on the singers and dancers………! Poor and altogether disappointing!!
