Spoilt by the price of drinks
P Ferguson | November 29, 2018 | Cunard | Queen Victoria
Just one thing was seriously wrong with our recent cruise to Spain and Portugal on Queen Victoria and that was the price of acholic drinks. On day one we had two glasses is Sauvignon Blanc in the Lido $32.20 inc service, first night a bottle of SB $43.70. Then a wine package, 12 bottles $560. Admitably two Gordon Gin and Schweppes tonics in a bar were only $20.70!
Appreciate that the rubbish pound to dollar exchange rate does not help but these prices are in short a rip-off.
Interesting we never saw anyone else drinking at lunchtime in the Lido. A lot of underemployed wine waiters.
