Five nights in France!
Paul Willars | January 11, 2019 | Fred Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
Sailed from Dover which was a first for me. The check in was the quickest/easiest ever in 47 cruises! I had a very spacious inside cabin with a bath and shower. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.I renewed my acquaintance with Suppoj in the Observatory bar.He was in there on my last cruise on Balmoral and he remembered me from 6 months previously. The food was excellent as was the service in the dining room.On the third evening the ship put on a Mexican themed evening in the Observatory lounge where all the staff wore colourful sombreros and ponchos serving Mexican cocktails and providing Mexican “nibbles” which were delicious.Sailing along the River Seine provided lots of lovely scenery and Honfleur was particularly beautiful as our stop there overnight gave us all plenty of time to see it.I am already looking to sail on this lovely ship again in the near future.Well done Fred!
