Worst cabin on the ship

I took a friend who had never cruised before on a taster weekend cruise on Balmoral, as it is one of the smaller ships, so that he would see how wonderful cruising was. Although I had booked a double room, we were given the smallest cabin set up as an L shape so much so that it could not be changed round. Needless to say it was awful.

As the ship was apparently full, there was no chance to change to a larger one. I have cruised with many different lines before and sailed on the Balmoral and particularly enjoyed the intimacy of the ship and the sail away parties. The sail away party was cancelled as it might rain, but it did not. It was very disappointing and my companions first taste of cruising was very disappointing. Needless to say, he will not want to cruise again. I have always had a balcony when I have cruised but for a weekend in the Seine did not consider this a necessary expense, but to call the cabin a superior ocean view, when it was not much bigger than a rabbit hutch was disgusting. Needless to say I will not be booking a deal with you again.
