Greece & Cyprus Bolette January 2023

This was a pleasant escape from the UK Winter. On the whole it was a nice cruise apart from a coughing virus that I and half the Ship, including crew, went down with! The biggest disappointment was missing Rhodes, due to high winds. The quality of the entertainers on board was very good, even though we’d seen Mickey Zany & Adam Press before. The best show was by Nate Simpson (twice) a young Soul Singer via the X Factor. The theatre company were OK but repetitive shows, having been on board twice before in the last 15 months. One complaint there, if you didn’t go the shows there was no alternative apart from a bar. Come on Fred Olsen use the Auditorium more. The quality or variety of the food wasn’t good, Royal Caribbean are much better. In my opinion Fred Olsen need to think more outside the box. What about putting on Radio plays; poetry readings, dramas etc. Also, better Lecturers & what’s happened to the port talks? They could do more overnight stops and longer in certain ports. Personally, I’m fed up with going to Cartagena! Could do with a small casino onboard too. We still enjoyed the cruise mainly because of the people on board.
