Spectacular once in a lifetime trip

We picked this cruise because of the itinery ,not HAL . Embarkation took about an hour or more of shuffling ,totally disorganised .
Our Balcony stateroom was roomy,comfortable ,nice Elemis toiletries ,bathrobes etc . We’re were disappointed with the standard of food and service overall from the Lido buffet to the Vista dining room, food often cold and bland ,most noticeable exception was the Pinnacle Grill superb food and excellent service.
In Juneau we booked our own trip through Juneau Whale Watching and this did not disappoint
Skagway ,went on the ships excursion on the White Pass railway ,which I would give 5 stars and highly recommend
Keitchican ,walked around the scenic little old town and then went on a ships excursion up the Misty Fjords
The day sailing in glacier bay was awesome ,just to marvel at the size of the glacier and hear the thunder and cracking as ice broke off
This was an excellent cruise but I understand that we were incredibly lucky with the weather as we saw no rain and had nothing but sunshine . If I did this cruise again I would probably eat in the Pinnacle Grill every night or try a different line . As this is my fourth cruise in a year I can compare and contrast other lines
