Mini cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Chose this cruise as a destination to meet up with friends – all of us seasoned cruisers. First impression of the ship was that she had the wow factor – very spectacular and blingy.
We had a good time as we were with our friends but my verdict of our expert was pretty poor. The ship was at about 75% capacity but there was not enough seating and impossible for a party of 6 to find a seat before or after our 8.45 late dinner sitting. Although on AI we had to queue for a drink – very minimal waiter service in the evening – which on a busy evening was lengthy and not at all conducive to a relaxed evening over a drink or two with friends.
The meals in the MDR were poor. Minimal choice and poor quality. I’m afraid I would give it a score of 4/10. It was certainly a party vibe on board, nothing wrong with that, but not enough bars, waiters or seating to accommodate all passengers. lots of wasted areas (wide open spaces) that could have been used better.
I would suggest lose the coffee bar/chocolate shop and make it a bar. The crew were working incredibly hard as always but just not enough if them. If this is normal for MSC then I’m afraid it’s not a line I will choose again. On a positive, the shows were amazing, especially the show that showcased dancing.
