4 day cruise to Guernsey

My wife and I and two friends have just done a 3 night mini cruise to Guernsey on Arcadia. Our first time on a P&O ship and we weren’t disappointed. A small friendly ship compared to many of the others we’ve been on in the past and we were looked after very well. Drink prices are reasonable and there is not an automatic 15% charged on everything you sign for. Having done quite a few cruises now, our only disappointment was the food quantity and quality in the main restaurant. Whether they cruise lines scrimp a bit on the mini cruises, not sure, but compared to our normal experiences the food was pretty average and not up to the standard expected. We tried the ‘East’ restaurant which had a ?œ20.00/head cover charge, and although we love Indian,Thai,chinese type foods, we didn’t feel spending ?œ40.00 was worth the visit.
The cruise and destination was overall great and we have booked the same ship for the Xmas cruise, and we thought P&O were very good. I would also recommend Bolsover cruise club, who we booked this through, we have used them before and we will use them again.
