Absolutely loved this cruise, St Petersburg was amazing. The P&O ‘Simply St Petersburg’ tour was incredible. Full 2 day tour with excellent guide and places visited. Copenhagen the same. Other Ports we did our own thing very easily.
Only criticism was the ‘Fine Dining’ in the Meridian. Last year fantastic, this year they have changed to ‘Plated Service’ which is not Silver Service or ‘Fine Dining’ It felt very rushed and food not up to usual standard. Main courses needed the additional vegetables and some of the meat portions were much reduced.
The Buffet restaurant however was excellent in the evening (as well as the rest of the day) service was as good as in the Meridian and food often much better.
It seemed that P&O wanted guests to use the speciality restaurant’s which were at an additional cost, we wish they would revert to the old Silver Service dining.
Weather was unbelievable 32/34 degrees in Russia ! No rain all fortnight.
P&O could look at the entertainment – same shows this year as last but that didn’t really bother us as we are not show people !!
Arcadia is a wonderful ship.
