Brilliant cruise onboard Arcadia

Our cruise on Arcadia was lovely. Just what we expected from P&O and even more. We knew it was an adult only ship and wanted that environment for our holiday. The clientele are older, but that is to be expected, mainly because of our itinerary, Norway. Which was stunning and we couldn’t recommend it more. Beautiful scenery and lovely weather too. We did go through a force 7 storm in the North Sea though!!
We had an inside cabin for the duration of the cruise and it was fine. Comfortable and our cabin steward couldn’t have done more for us. We had freedom dining and so we were able to eat in the main dining room from 5.45-9pm every evening. If we requested a table for two, we were given a pager and then buzzed when it was available. The food was of a very high standard and different each night. We had one meal in the Ocean Grill (Marco Pierre White) restaurant and the food and ambience was out of this world! A bargain too at just ?œ17.95 per person extra.
The entertainment on board was fine, good shows by the theatre company and a good piano entertainer and beautiful singer. Loved all of the quizzes too, but we would have liked to have seen a stand-up comedy act, as the passengers were all over 18!
Our only complaint was the DJ in the disco, as he didn’t DJ and was barely in The Globe. But apparently he was agency staff.
Overall a brilliant cruise for myself and my partner (his first ever cruise). Highly recommended!!
