Comments on Arcadia cruise

We were not satisfied with the quality of meals served in the Meridian Restaurant. With very few exceptions they were no better than an average pub lunch at home and on one occasion totally unacceptable. This consisted of fish in batter, in which the batter was just a soggy tasteless mess. The menus were unimaginative and rather repetetive. The standard of service was without refinement. The company on our table for six was fortunately very congenial. Meals available in the self-service Belvedere Restaurant were average.
We were also very disappointed by the standard of lectures, the very limited choice and the subjects selected.
In both these matters we have been accustomed to the much higher standards provided by Cunard, to which we are thankfully returning in July – booking already made.
A high rating, however, for the daily duplicate bridge sessions (shore days excluded), which were very friendly and very ably directed.
