Good time

We thoroughly enjoyed NY (our favourite), Boston and Quebec. The little inbetween ports: Newport, Portland, Saint John, Halifax, Sydney were interesting but not rivetting. The Atlantic crossing, there and back, was challenging but fun.
Arcadia and it’s crew and staff were as good as ever – we have no complaints whatsoever. The evening entertainment was OK only.
One passenger complained to us about the food in the Meridian restaurant and by way of the internet we learned that portions were too small. We cannot imagine what size meals these people normally have. We have healthy appetites and 3-courses were more than enough for us in the eveving. Did we fill up with food during the day? No! Porridge & toast for breakfast and a sandwich at lunchtime.
One thing we were disappointed with was the adherence to the dress code – a number of scruffy jeans were worn (even accepting casual evevings but there is still a laid down standard), not a total effort to dress up for formal nights – the men seem to do better than the women! Hardly anyone bothered on the theme nights – Tropical, 60s/70s and C&W.
As has been said before if passengers don’t like the dress code, please will they book another cruise line.
We have already booked ourselves on Arcadia again.
