Needs a major refit

Overall we enjoyed our cruise holiday. However to be critical Arcadia is in need of a major refit and refurbishment. Our balcony on E deck looked quite grubby.The handrail was devoid of any varnish the floor needed a good clean as did the aluminium surrounds and the white dividing panels had rust runs down them. There were many rust spots on various metal surfaces too.
The cabin interiors are beginning to look quite drab. Soft furnishings needs replacing, particularly the bedding which was well past its sell by date. A lot of people had trouble with their water supply and toilets but this did not directly affect us. Not good to see a ship sail with buckets placed around public areas to catch leaking water.
Entertainment ranged from good to poor but it’s difficult to please everybody. Headliners had 2 “new” shows neither of which impressed us. Perhaps time to rethink this aspect of entertainment.!!
Food…Overall was good and restaurant staff efficient and attentive.
Conclude…Ship needs major refit/refurbish in all areas.. I would not like to be going on a long cruise on Arcadia (eg world cruise) until she is very much improved.
