P&O get it right them get it wrong

P&O got it absolutely spot on when we arrived in New York. Immigration and disembarkation was smooth and well organised. We were well informed by staff and it was a pleasant experience. However disembarkation in Quebec was an absolute shambles. Only one gangplank was available for use although port staff had attempted to position another. The angle achieved was dangerous and even professional mountaineers would have found it almost impossible to use. More appropriate to Eddie the Eagle. Just remember that the tidal rise in the St Lawrence could be as much as 10 feet, you can see the problem. It was as though this cruise line had never been to Quebec before but we were there in 2010 and did not experience this problem.
Food and entertainment was the usual high standard but some service areas led a lot to be desired. Would we use P&O again? Of course we will and hope they can improve. B
