Arvia – April 2023 Disappointing

A lovely ship with a great Captain, Robert Camby, good food and service but some areas reflected an inexpensive fitout (cheap looking light fittings)
Don’t book Deck 9 cabins aft, they’re above the night club and some noise and Bass reverbs can be heard until around midnight, our cabin steward was a little laid back and needed several prompts for the complimentary fruit bowl that should have been but turned up a week later with fruit that had seen better days.
The My Holiday app didn’t work for many passengers, me included, this lead to chaos when queuing for the restaurants and lot’s of us simply ignored it or deleted it. We all said what was wrong with the previous system: go to desk, have table, enjoy dinner!

The Medical Centre performed well, albeit expensive but effective and professional at all times.
The entertainment facilities were good for families and particularly for young children with the giant screen in the pool area showing Encanto and similar films.
The main restaurants performed ok and waiters were polite and welcoming, pity that some couldn’t speak very much English with so many nationalities amongst them.
We expected better P&O.
