Arvia problems

As a Baltic loyalty members we had priority to board but we were sent to a holding area whilst the general passengers boarded- not a good start. Our cabin was a standard balcony and was very nice and up to the usual standard. Problems arose at dinner with long queues waiting to be seated. Christmas dinner was a disaster, having been seated at 5.15pm we didn’t get the meal until 8.30pm and our granddaughters specially ordered meal could not be traced until 9.30pm when two arrived at the table. This was fortunate because I had sent mine back due to poor quality, so I ate one of them. Some second sitting passengers didn’t get out of the restaurant until the early hours of Boxing Day. Generally the quality of the food in the main restaurants was poor with very slow service and understaffed waiters.
On disembarking we were sent to the theatre to await the baggage being unloaded. Again this was slow as we didn’t get to the baggage hall until almost 2 hours later. The baggage hall was not large enough to cater for the amount of passengers on this ship.
So much for ‘priority’. Clearly the ship was not ready to sail. Hope it improves because we are due to take a cruise in Arvia in June
