Arvia Transatlantic

Got a conservatory Suite upgrade before we went which was a lovely surprise and when we got to the port were upgraded again to a suite further towards the mid – beautiful cabin in a great place as was right near the lifts. No noise or disturbance at all from the position. The ship is absolutely beautiful – yes she is large but we had no problem with this and did not at any time feel overcrowded. There certainly was no lack of sunbeds that we could see. The eateries where ever we had our meals were beautiful as was the food – always excellent service and can honestly say we never had a problem or had to wait to eat at all and never used the app at all. Unfortunately we both got Covid 5 days into the cruise – luckily apart from informing the Medical Centre after testing positive we were not too bad – being cabin bound for 5 days with the best cabin service ever – we were phoned every day to see how we were – food delivered daily as and when we wanted it and any other things we requested – plenty on the telly so was too much of a hardship. Only let down was the coach organisation when we got off the ship – obviously not enough coaches ordered and we had a hour and a half wait in the cold before they got themselves organised. Great driver but he had a nightmare when we got to airport as they had no record of him coming so yet another delay and he had to drop us off in a totally different part of the airport. Apart from hiccups the ship, staff etc were brilliant and would we go on Arvia again – yes we would.
