Arvia – what a transformation!!

Just returned from three weeks on Arvia, around the Caribbean then the transatlantic return to Southampton. We were on the ship’s first cruise over Christmas and the New Year and, as many have already written, the ship just wasn’t ready. Well, she is now!! The crew were fantastic, the food was very good – and served at the correct temperatures, as opposed to Christmas – and there really was little to fault. ok, there aren’t any glasses in the holders in the bathrooms yet, and they don’t have any semi-skimmed milk yet, but they are getting there. We were on board for the naming ceremony, starring Olly Murs and Nicole Sherzinger. If your name came out of the hat to see Olly on the beach, you were lucky: if your name came out to see Nicole in the Skydome, you were lucky. We weren’t lucky for either so had to watch it on the TV from the comfort of our cabin. However, audio in the Skydome isn’t great so we didn’t miss anything there!! Anyone put off by comments from the early Arvia sailings can now think again because the crew have turned it round from very disappointing to very good.
