Home Cruise Reviews Centre P&O Cruises Arvia Disappointing
Disappointing
Phil Woodward | January 15, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Arvia
This turned out to be Arvia’s maiden voyage over Christmas & New Year. Her scheduled maiden voyage was cancelled as she wasn’t ready for service. In our view, this cruise shouldn’t have sailed either as there were a number of things that needed addressing. It was a snagging cruise, crew needed further training, technology for passengers wasn’t up to scratch & didn’t work properly, stateroom televisions had CNN as its main news channel with few other entertainment channels. That is until the day of our departure when the number of channels quadrupled & included the familiar BBC & ITV channels plus many others. We do think this cruise was used to test things out ready for Arvia’s Caribbean Season.
