Not as good as the IONA?
Stephen Chapman | June 5, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Arvia
I had such a good time on the IONA back in May 2022 in Norway me and a lot of my family decided to book this trip on the ARVIA as she was the sister ship to the IONA. I think we got off on the wrong foot at the start because we were a big party of 14 we found it hard to book a table for dining even though we tried two weeks before we set sail and even when we were on board we found it hard to use the app so we ended up being split up which was ok for some of the time but when we had special occasion we could not get a table even when we were prepared to wait for one no matter how long it took. Although we all enjoyed the cruise overall I did think there were one or two things that did need fixing. like some of your staff did need a bit more training or even more time to get used to their role, I did not like how the shops were set up we were always being detained or slowed down when we had to pass through them although the staff there was very good and understanding. The entertainment overall was very good but we were not very happy with the group called pulse as they were on every night in the Club house? it would have been nice to have some one else sing. We did have a bit of a nightmare when we was in Palma Majorca when all of the front of Palma was a bit of a building site and where we was dropped off there was no way near enough buses to accommodate all of us and a another cruise ship there was total pandemonium and no one there to supervise what was going on .As we were in a big group we decided to walk back to the ship which took over an hour and some off us are over 60 with walking difficulties and some young children at the age of 9, we did get a big apology from the captain who was very good all through our cruise. But may I say we did all have a very nice time overall and would do something like it again. Yours Mr S Chapman.
