‘And another one bites the dust’

Another enjoyable cruise with P&O on the refitted Aurora in July / August 2015. Overall the refit has been done very well but an opportunity missed we think in the Reception area, very dull. When you compare the d??cor with the surrounding cabin areas and corridors on deck 5 you will see what we mean.
The itinerary was very good except Messina, by common consent amongst our fellow passengers it was a complete waste of a port stop, Malta would have been much, much better. I see Messina is included in many cruises for 2016 / 2017, oh dear!! There is only one tour worth considering and that is to the Roman Amphitheatre and even that had mixed reports. Think again on Messina P&O!
Food was the usual high P&O standard we have come to expect but the portion size continues to get smaller especially the vegetables. It was not a problem for us but for certain people it was, enough said on that issue I think.
Entertainment on this cruise was really of a high standard, perhaps the best since we started cruising in 2007. A special mention here for Tom O’Conner, someone said he is 82, amazing! Standing ovation in the Theatre for his performance.
Perhaps I should also mention Eavesway Travel because the journey to and from Southampton is also part of the cruise experience. We boarded the coach at Leicester and were very impressed with the coach and both the drivers. This is the first time we have used them and have already booked with Eavesway again.
