Aurora Baltic 21/May/2013
Clare Whittleston | August 3, 2013 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
Just back from Baltic cruise aboard Aurora. Before we sailed we had some concerns about this ship due to some bad reviews we had read on another cruise review site. I am pleased to report that we need not have worried. We could not find any of the worn out tired looking decor that we had read about. We liked the traditional style of the ship, lots of wood panelling with touches of Art Deco throughout . I can only think that some people see traditional as old fashioned and are possibly comparing Aurora to some of the bigger glitzier ships, think Azura, Ventura. Our cabin was B 264 ( De Luxe Balcony) on deck 10 and was a real treat, large cabin with 2 seater settee, lots of storage space and a larger than average bathroom and all in good condition. The cabin was lovely to spend some quiet time in as our first 3 days were at sea.
All the places we visited were lovely and we were very lucky with the weather, lots of spring like sunshine. All in all, a lovely cruise.
