Aurora Cruise R308

I have just read the reviews on this cruise a “Strictly come dancing” cruise. This was “Strictly miss selling” Two interviews and one show do not a strictly cruise make. This was not our biggest gripe..as with over reviews the port stays were far too short. Having done similar cruises before; leaving so early was more than a disappointment and was the talk of the ship. I hope all complainers have written to P&O as this will become the norm if people do not speak out. There were four members of the Carnival UK board embarked in Cadiz on a fact finding exercise. One question asked was do we want european instead of Indian waiters!! After once traveling on Cunard I hope this NEVER happens. The Indian and Goa staff are brilliant hard working and friendly. On QM2 they were eastern europeans so bone lazy I would have sacked the lot!!! One review stated the food and entertainment was brilliant. Our opinion was the food quality was at it’s lowest we have ever had in the main restaurants but very good in the Cafe B and Pennant Grill which we used more than normal. The entertainment was abysmal. The “headliners” were awful the male “dancers/singers” needed to diet and could do neither. Good old “Caravan” always flogged to death as the main stay of Aurora entertainers. We have cruised 13 times now with P&O and plan on another next year. However, our days cruising will come to an end if our next sailing if food, entertainment and port stays do not improve. We have had good and not so good cruises for whatever reason and this is life! Last year being the best ever and if it can be done once why not every time?
