Aurora Grand Voyage (South America)
Katrina & Alan | March 21, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
65 nights from Southampton around South America, through Panama Canal and the Caribbean and back to Southampton.
Ship – well maintained for a 23 year old ship. Our inside cabin well equipped and very quiet.
Crew – Steward and waiters very attentive, friendly and always happy & smiling.
Entertainment – aimed at the elderly, as you would expect, for a long voyage. Best was the Crew Show (in aid of earthquake appeal) and the photographers presentation, both of which were requested by passengers, and as we understood it, resisted by the Ents team.
Food – excellent, Different curry every lunchtime in MDR. Very good selection in self-service and always looked fresh.
Ports of call – some ok, some incredible and a shame Machu Picchu was cancelled, also we missed Lima and switched 3 other ports to lesser ports.
Highlights of the cruises: seeing Penguins in Falkland Islands, swimming with stingrays in Antigua, Rio, Panama Canal and the glaciers in Chile.
