East Med in August

Let’s start with the positives.

1. Less anti social behaviour compared to last year.
2. As Ligurian members, we were offered a free scenic sail away from Dubrovnik.
3. Loyalty luncheon was excellent as was our host the HR Manager Amanda.
4. Glass House is great as always.
5. The weather was incredible.
6. Staff are fantastic unless you ask for something a little out of the ordinary.
7. We moved cabins due to a noise – all sorted brilliantly.
8. Although we don’t go the Headliner new shows were much improved we were told.

Now to the downside.
1. Menus don’t really go – e.g. who puts garlic bread with paella as they don’t in Spain? We had lamb shank on consecutive nights and the steak was usually tough compared to the steaks we had in the Glass House which were excellent.
2. Marco Pierre gala menus need changing or removing altogether.
3. Beach House menu doesn’t work for us – too American e.g Mac and Cheese.
4. Dress code not enforced as the staff prefer to avoid confrontation – a woman near us wore a baby doll twice to dinner.
5. Can someone not revamp the entertainment that doesn’t involve a quiz? Ents Manager was like the invisible man, unlike the Captain who was always around the ship.
That said you get what you pay for!
