Mediterranean cruise April/May Aurora
Doug Friend mbe | November 26, 2013 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
A thoroughly enjoyable cruise for my wife and I. Weather was hit and miss but thats life. Lovely ports of call to explore but do not rate Catania, maybe this port should be dropped. As with all cruises you meet some lovely people from different parts of the country this was no exception. Entertainment throughout was very good, something for everybody. We both agree that this Headliners group was the best we have seen on all our cruises, they all gelled together perfectly. I always believe that the cruise director (Leon De St Croix) makes a difference in inspiring his team. He was excellent. Aurora was our first cruise ship many years ago and we do like it above the others, nice and comfortable and recently refitted. Praise to the hardworking staff in restaurants and bars they really do work very hard.
The one downside on this cruise was “DISEMBARKATION” a complete and utter shambles. Everyone it appears disembarked as once, corridors and stairways prior to movement was full of passengers and when the call to disembark came (no tannoy) it was a mad scramble, utter chaos. There was no senior staff directing this but young inexperienced staff who it appeared to have lost the plot
P&O please relook at your disembarkation system. ( It appears, you have had your cruise now get off quick, we have another cruise waiting)
