Northern lights
Barry Barker | January 4, 2019 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
Just like the Loch Ness monster, often talked about not rarely seen.
The cruise was up to the normal standard for P&O, they do not know how to provide decent meals for vegetarians. We went on a tour called champagne reception and lodge viewing for the lights. The approach to the so called lodge was very dangerous with no path indicated at the top of a cable car ride, just a steep slope covered in snow down to the lodge. The viewing platform was only large enough for 6 people as space was taken up with 4 large picnic tables, viewing had to be done on a slope snow covered path. Health and Safety need to be checked before this tour is offered again. They cannot handle 80 guest. The tour is very expensive and not value for money even allowing for the extra costs of Norway. The rest of the cruise was satisfactory despite lack of the lights, maybe next time!
