To Bruges or not to Bruges
Mrs Keeping | January 12, 2020 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
Very disappointed in ship. We had sailed on her before but unfortunately this mini cruise proved to be not how we remembered her.
The biggest problem was the dining experience I.e. We had booked and trusted to get 1st sitting but on seeing the Matre de was informed “no chance” We did inform him of my husbands need to eat early but he just ignored this fact. We had to dine in ‘Meridan’ restaurant the first evening but the service by the waiter was horrendous. We eventually started eating at 10pm and the food was that bad we just left it. On our 2nd night we decided to eat in the Orangie but the food that night was all Asian (fine if you can eat it) so we ended up have – soup for my husband and I had 2 bread rolls. Not what you would expect for P & O.
The day in Bruges was good but the cost of a transfer by P & O was a rip off.
We really enjoy cruising on P & O but after this experience we would have to rethink our cruise line in future.
