Overall ,we had a great cruise as usual and were very impressed with the embarkation and disembarkation process. We were on and off the ship within 15mins each time. However,we are puzzled by the very apparent cuts on board this time. Many of the activities throughout the day were in the bars instead of in designated rooms as years before. Many were late to start and some didn’t even start. Bars were closed for most of the day and the nightclub never opened one night. These things seem to point to not enough staff on board. Lots of little hidden costs and shop prices were very expensive for very little choice. The rules have changed for adjusting the gratuities and it appears to me that they are hoping people forget as it needs to be done 9days into the cruise. These are niggling
little things but put together, they make a difference to whether we would choose P&O again.
