Azura Caribbean Feb 2013 Cruise
Lofty55 | December 17, 2013 | P&O Cruises | Azura
Similar to a previous Azura cruise review, we have just returned from our Caribbean cruise and this is the worst P&O cruise we have had yet. The standard of the service (especially on deck 14) and food standards can not compare to the Oceana.
The Azura self-services area (as previously mentioned) is very confusing, half the pastries looked like they were de-thawed Mr Kiplings, cakes, soup was very poor as were the themed evenings. No staff controlling sanitiation within the food areas. Managers/Supervisors hovering for tips in the Peninsular restaurant. Even the commodore was encouraging passengers to purchase highly inflated cocktails when the sail-aways from certain ports took place.
Everything on the shipwas designed to make you spend even more, including the staff asking everytime you ordered a drink, if you wanted to ‘go-large’ on your spirits .
The library was an afterthought and there is very few internal areas where you can sit and relax, unless you want to pay for the privilege of sitting in the Costa Coffee lounge on Deck 5.
Overall a very poor experience and I also will not cruise again on the Azura.
