Azura Cruise 31st May to 17th June 2013
Robin Maddy | August 17, 2013 | P&O Cruises | Azura
Excellent cabin and well looked after by our cabin steward, Girlie. We dined for most meals in the Peninisular restaurant where the service was excellent and the food satisfactory. The pastry and dessert items need attention as although well presented sometimes lacked flavour. We do not use the buffet restaurant as on holiday we liked to be pampered, meet and chat to our fellow diners and not scramble for a seat and mess about with trays!
We only went on one organised trip and that was in Venice to the Murano Glass and Burano island which we booked before the cruise. We considered this very good value for money with a first class guide, clean boat and plenty of time to explore.
P&O need to sort out their entertainment programme. The Headliner Company churn out the same old type of shows cruise after cruise. They all sound the same with no emotional appeal at all. Two tribute acts were excellent as well as a comedy magician who lost his props in Rome but still managed a most entertaining act! The lectures were fine. The seating arrangements were dreadful. Unless you got to the theatre about twenty minutes before the show you were hard pushed to get a seat. No good if you were a late diner and enjoying your dinner!
Overall we really enjoyed our cruise but come on P&O, sort out the entertainment!
