Azura heaven

Had a fantastic flight from Gatwick on the Dreamliner, lots of space, excellent service, food and drink. Seats very comfortable, able to recline back, also had footrest. Entertainment good, time passed quickly. At Bridgetown straight from plane to waiting coaches and quickly to the port. Had to wait a few minutes to check on to the ship. Cabin at the back of the ship, so quite a long walk to some venues but worth it. Cabin looked after very efficiently but unobtrusively by our steward. Balcony was big with table and chairs also 2 steamer chairs. A lovely place to have breakfast, to watch the sunset or to sunbathe during the day. Most evenings ate in the Oriental Restaurant, food was good quality with lots of choice, excellent service. Also tried Sindhu, the Glass House and the Trattoria on Deck 15, all very good in different ways.Headliners shows were entertaining and very enjoyable. Particularly liked Jimmy James & Changez but in my opinion the rest of the entertainment was not as good as on previous P&O cruises. We had visited all the islands before, but this time we particularly enjoyed the Rain Forest Discovery in St Kitts and also visiting Old Government House in Tortola. Flight home was at 5pm so we decided to go on Farewell to Barbados tour. Visited new places, including Sunbury Plantation House for lunch, then taken to airport. Flight on time, landed early, collected bags and into car in car park in 50 minutes. Even the M25 wasn’t blocked!
