Azura – Nice ship, great captain
JENNY FENTON | July 11, 2022 | P&O Cruises | Azura
Having had six cruises cancelled (not all P&O) during the pandemic we had amassed a bit if cruise credit so we treated ourselves to a suite. It made a real difference to our holiday. Breakfast in The Epicurean restaurant with impeccable service, champagne & chocs waiting for us in the fridge, canapes delivered by the butler at 17.00 each night and the bed turned down with a chocolate. Nearly forget about the lovely toiletries. The one downside was the lack of speciality restaurants during the second week of our cruise because staff being taken from Azura to make Arcadia operational. We were very disappointed although the food in the main restaurants was okay and my husband’s gluten free diet was well catered for. There is a promenade deck but it is not a complete circuit. We found the crew throughout the ship were friendly, helpful and could not do enough for passengers. Captain Neil Turnbull made broadcasts both morning and evening. Unlike other Captain’s broadcasts we have heard, he was informative and interesting and very very amusing. We looked forward to hearing his broadcasts.
