Brugge to Guernsey

On arrival at terminal 4long lines of cars for parking, waited an hour in car. Next time will get dropped off. Long wait in departure lounge , over an hour. At last got on oard and went straight to cabin, no sign of cabin steward. Usually the previous cabin stewards make an effort to introduce themselves. The only time we met him was when I had to find him to report a non flushing toilet. This problem with the toilet continued throughout the cruise. At times the hot water in the bathroom was brown in colour. In the early hours of our arrival back in Southampton we awoke to a foul smell in the cabin. On investigation we found the toilet pan full of brown sewage water which had backed up from the sewage system. This was dealt with quickly, once we had reported it and the bathroom was cleaned and sprayed. On the black & white night we had photographs taken in our posh frock and suit, but were disappointed to discover that the pictures had just been taken from the waist up. Disappointed with the long wait for going ashore by tender at Guernsey; again waited around for over an hour in one of the lounges on the ship, packed in like sardines and not enough seating. Best thing about the cruise was the departure, just joined a queue which moved very quickly and got off the ship, found the luggage quickly and departed. This was our first cruise on Azura, unlikely to go back. We have been on more than 15 cruises and Azura did not meet the standards we have come to expect.
