Cruise of 2 halves
Heather McBain | April 22, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Azura
First 2 weeks on the Azura were very good, quality entertainment, good food, relaxed atmosphere, brilliant dancing with hosts Chris and Dora. Met some lovely people. Second 2 weeks coincided with school holidays and everything changed. Suddenly there were queues for everything, food standard dropped, entertainment second rate and some of the younger guests with families were really not very polite. There was also a change of dance hosts (Penny and Ian) were the worst we’ve ever had, very little interaction, and always rushing in and rushing off as if guests were an inconvenience to their day. Our first time on Azura and lessons learnt. Will be returning to Aurora in future and will definitely avoid school holiday periods whichever line we cruise. However special mention must be made of Jose, our Cabin Steward on B deck, he looked after us brilliantly for the whole month. Also Jason who greeted everyone at the buffet, always bright, cheerful, polite and welcoming. Overall a lovely cruise itinerary and some great port visits.
